Chocolope is not your average strain! Watch out, or it might replace your morning coffee.

Bred by the team at DNA Genetics, Chocolope, or sometimes known as Chocolope Haze, is a Sativa cross between Chocolate Thai and Cannalope Haze.

The synergizing strain is an homage to the wildly popular Chocolate Thai strain. You won’t see them around as much, but during the ’80s, chocolate flavoured strains were all the rage.

Chocolate Thai was the face of the movement, taking home prize after prize, winning lots of awards at the Cannabis Cup. As with any fad that soars too high, the popularity of chocolate flavoured strains decreased. Thus the legend Chocolate Thai became more of a myth, but it’s since been revived, better than ever.

Aesthetics

Chocolope’s flavour profile is one of a kind. As you could have easily guessed, it tastes like chocolate! But it’s much more than dollar store chocolate; tasting like strong cocoa. The cocoa fills a smooth smoke, which includes a touch of sweet and fruitiness on the exhale. Chocolate Thai gained the bold flavour and aroma from its soil. Neighbouring coffee bean plants lent it’s palate to the earth, and in turn, picked up by the local cannabis strains.

Whether this tale is fact or fiction, the flavour profile remains the same; bold and beautiful.

Earthy tones fill in the scent with chocolate, but it’s not noticeable until breaking open a bud.
